03 - WHERE IT BEGAN
1991
FHONE didn't start from nothing.
It grew out of something that already changed
the way people saw eyewear.
In 1991, Stefan Flatscher co-founded Freudenhaus in Munich - a different kind of optical space, where glasses were not just functional, but personal, expressive, and full of character.
It quickly became a reference point for
independent eyewear.
But ideas evolve.
After moving to the United States, it was time to start fresh -
to take everything that worked, refine it, and push it further.
Same belief. Clearer expression.
Because sometimes the next step is not something new -
it's something better.
04 - HOW IT FEELS
You can see quality.
But What matters is how it feels.
A great frame feels right from the start -
balanced, comfortable, easy to wear.
Each piece carefully constructed using premium
materials - from Japanese titanium to Italian acetate, shaped and refined in small batches with a focus on precision over speed.
Fit is everything.
Every curve, every angle, every detail designed to sit
naturally on the face.
Many frames can look good.
But only a few feel right.
And you can tell the difference.
05 - HOW WE SEE
Design is not about standing out.
It's about getting it right.
Every face is different.
Proportions, expressions, the way someone carries themselves -
that's where a frame begins.
The goal is never to overpower the person.
And never to dissapear completely.
Too much, and it feels forced.
Too little, and it feels forgettable.
Enough character to feel special.
Enough restraint to feel natural.
Because great eyewear doesn't turn you into someone else.
It Brings out who you already are -
just a little clearer, a little better.
06 - MADE TO LAST
We don't believe in fast products.
And we don't believe in disposable design.
Every FHONE frame is made in small batches, using high quality materials chosen for their durability, comfort, and longevity -
from Italian bio-acetate to Japanese titanium.
But responsibility is not just about materials.
It's about making something you want to keep.
Something you wear for years, not seasons.
Something that still feels right over time.
Something you come back to, again and again.
Because the most sustainable product
is the one you don't need to replace.
And sometimes - when you get it right - it's not about needing another pair.
It's simply about wanting one.
